My life has been committed to animals since childhood. Like most animal loving children I would bring home the sick and injured and nurse them back to health. Finding homes for the strays and always having pets of my own. I became seriously involved in the dog world in 1982 Obedience competing with my Golden Retriever and Toy Poodle.
After much research I purchased my first Newfoundland Dog starting my serious breeding program with a goal to produce the best possible Newfoundland. My goal took me to a level no other Newfoundland breeder has accomplished. Two litters %100 clear hearts, hips, and elbows keeping their beloved sweet gentle nature that they are most admired for. I was one of the first breeders to x-ray and OFA certify elbows and realize it to be a hereditary problem within the breed. Because I will only breed and commit my life to one major undertaking at a time I took a break from breeding, showing, and working with the Newfoundlands to have my son, Ryan. Although not actively involved with the Newfoundland, I continue to keep in touch with my past puppy purchasers. When Ryan was old enough to help me and appreciate my love for dogs I decided to return to my passion. To my surprise, the Newfoundland breeders where not keeping up with strict breeding practices loosing the health and temperament that I originally fell in love with.
At that time I was also researching small breeds mainly for a companion. I was contacted by the President of the Continental Mi-Ki Association (CMA) and asked to judge their upcoming show. To my surprise, I fell in love with the tiny little Mi-Ki breed. All the desired qualities I liked in the small breeds previously researched had been combined into the Mi-Ki. What a wonderful combination of kindness, intelligent, calm, quiet, non-shedding, at home in Condo or Country, and unconditional love all in one tiny package. As you can see they are my new passion. I breed only Mi-Kis now and commit myself completely to produce the best possible puppies. I go beyond all Mi-Ki registry organization and club requirements when it comes to health and temperament testing. I will only breed to the best possible males striving to improve all qualities of the Mi-Ki with each generation.
If I do not currently have a puppy available for you I can refer you to other reputable breeders that may have what you are looking for.
