Mi-Kis are a calm and quiet breed possessing the more favorable qualities of the tiny dogs leaving behind many of the undesirable traits. They are highly intelligent and many work as therapy dogs and compete in obedience and agility trials. They are well suited for small children or the elderly due to their quiet and calm nature.

The true Mi-Ki have beautiful long, non shedding coats. Mi-kis are considered "Hypoallergenic" so they are great for people that otherwise, due to allergies, could not have pets. Regular grooming is required to keep their hair in optimum condition.

Waidin Mi-Ki adults and litters are dual registered with the Continental Mi-Ki Association "CMA" and the Canine Developmental Health and Performance Registry "CDHPR". The CDHPR is an all breed registry partnering with the United Kennel Club "UKC" working with owners, breeders, geneticists, veterinarians and private researchers to develop the Mi-Ki breed. Thus yielding dogs that could be considered eligible for enrollment into UKC registration.

The Canine Developmental Health and Performance Registry has accepted the combined application from the Continental Mi-Ki Association and the International Mi-Ki Registry.
